Joseph R. Welch is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Offices of Joseph R. Welch, a Waldorf law firm providing criminal defense in DUI/DWI, MVA hearings, traffic violations, drug offenses, as well as civil representation in Southern Maryland.
The son of a hardworking bricklayer, Joe was born in Washington D.C., and raised in Oxon Hill and Port Tobacco. He graduated high school at Bishop McNamara with high honors. Joseph attended Loyola College in Baltimore, MD and, having a strong interest in law, went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1987 and is licensed to practice law in Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Charles County Bar Association, and the Prince Georges County Bar Association. He routinely appears in circuit courts for Prince George’s, Charles, St. Mary’s, Calvert, Anne Arundel Counties, as well as Maryland District Court and State of Maryland administrative hearings, and provides arbitration and mediation assistance.
Joseph is a member of New Life Church in La Plata, Maryland. He is married and the proud father of six children.
